Truck Delivery Incoming and Ready to Start Shipping!

Hi all,
Our books are at the port and import duties have been finalized! We've had our first conversation with the trucking company and are just waiting for our final delivery appointment (it'll actually be TWO deliveries of a total of 18 pallets of books from our Ultimate Faeries and Ultimate Treasury projects), which could be as early as Friday. Snow is in the forecast for that day so it might get moved to Monday, but we'll post up pictures when the first wave is packed and ready to head your way!
Thanks for your awesome support of this project and patience as we get everything up and out the door to you! These are some beautiful books and we hope you love reading them and using them at your table!

Hi there,
A quick followup on the last update. We have received confirmation that our books are now ready to load onto their ship on November 30, with departure on December 9 and a scheduled arrival date at the Port of Tacoma of January 1. The customs estimate is currently two weeks (which would give a delivery date on or around January 15), and that tracks with how long it usually takes to process loads, but that is an estimate. We've had customs processing take as short as a few days, but in one case it was more like 7 or 8 weeks. It all depends on how busy the port is when the load arrives. About 2 weeks, sometimes 3 has definitely been the most common time for customs processing.
Once customs are cleared, we're only located about 5 miles from the port, so we can usually get truck delivery within a day or two, and when the pallets are delivered, we'll be able to break them down and start shipping within a few days after that!

At last, a shipping date!

What a long, crazy wait it's been, but we've just been informed that our slot in the shipping queue is here at last. Our printer has let us know that November 28th is our tentative RTS (Ready to Ship) date! Once they finalize the ship booking, we'll receive a projected ocean shipping schedule that will let us know how long the shipment will take to arrive. Past experience with the actual ocean freight part of things is that it's usually around a 5 to 6-week sail from Hong Kong to Seattle/Tacoma. We're only a few miles away from the Port of Tacoma, but once the shipment arrives there is still the wait for local customs clearance, which can vary quite a bit from days to weeks, depending on how busy the port is, but once it's cleared it's a pretty quick process to arrange local truck delivery from the port to us.
We'll see if the schedule tracks with past experience (the wait to get *on* the ship certainly hasn't, but fingers crossed that now that we've got our ship things will get back on track), that would probably put the shipment as arriving here stateside in mid-January, and if customs moves along at a decent speed we can have books in hand and ready to start shipping by the end of January!
Thanks for your patience with the process. We apologize for the delay but have been doing what we could to poke and prod our partners along. We are excited to get these books on their way to you!
P.S. Today is the final day for the Templars & Tyrants 5E & Pathfinder 1E Quick-Starter. We are ready to send out all PDFs right after the KS ends. Barring a sudden surge in print pledges, this one will be fulfilled via domestic print-on-demand rather than doing an overseas print run, so we'll be able to start shipping as soon as our Backerkit survey is finalized. It all ends tonight so we hope you'll check it out!

Hi all,
We have good news and bad news. The bad news is that our shipments in Hong Kong have been stuck now for months in container port traffic jam the likes of which I have never seen in 25 Kickstarters. The books are printed. Just still stuck waiting on the docks. We'll let you know as soon as we know more, but for right now what we are doing is getting in touch with some other logistics partners to see if there's a way to shift tracks and have a different company handle the ocean freight situation. I'm not sure we'll be able to sidestep the process since it's already so far down the pipe, but we're exploring options because this delay has been ridiculous. We'll definitely be looking at alternative logistics providers in the future. As I noted above, we've never had this kind of shipping delay before, and we definitely don't want to again!
The good news is on the kingdom-building rules for Pathfinder 2E, as we are almost ready to send the second volume of this series, Ultimate Cities, to layout! This was not part of the original Kickstarter but continues our expansion of the rules by giving you a ton of new options for civic actions, new buildings, specialized city attributes and locations, and more! We've got two previews up already on our Legendary Games Patreon, which you can check out here: Update 1 and Update 2!
Last but not least, while our big projects are waiting to be delivered, we have also launched a new smaller-scale Quick-Starter this month, Templars & Tyrants for 5E and PF1! This project features an 80-page encyclopedia of all things pure good and ultimate evil for 5E paladins, including oaths, spells, magic items, feats, and class options, including an all-new variant antipaladin class, or for PF1 fans a bundle of our Legendary Paladins and Legendary Villains: Antipaladins! Plus over 1000 pages of awesome add-ons for a campaign of crusaders and corruption for 5E, and over 300 pages for PF1. Best of all, it's a QUICK-starter, so we'll have immediate PDF fulfillment as soon as the project ends. Given the current tracking numbers, this one is also likely to be small domestic print job, so it won't get tangled in the overseas freight mess!
